In a heartwarming event on September 24, 2023, our community embarked on a meaningful journey of connection with the elderly residents of Seven Sisters Servants of Mary Elderly Home. This marked our first in-person interaction since the pandemic's onset, bridging a gap that had left us separated for too long.
Gathering with 25 dedicated HCC Members and warmly welcomed by 24 cherished elderly residents, the day commenced with a soulful prayer led by Brother Jed. Following this, Brother Andy introduced our community to the residents, fostering an atmosphere of familiarity and camaraderie.
The day continued with a shared Sunday mass, uniting us in faith and fellowship. An engaging ice breaker ensued, as members endeavored to memorize the names of each resident, strengthening the bonds of friendship and understanding.
In moments of individual interaction, heartfelt connections were forged, enriching both parties with shared stories and laughter. As the day drew to a close, Brother Migz serenaded the gathering with the timeless melody of "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko," a poignant tribute to enduring friendship and care.

In a gesture of goodwill, essential items such as rice, shampoo, diapers, soap, and detergent were provided to the residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
As we bid farewell, our hearts were filled with gratitude for the opportunity to brighten the lives of our beloved elderly friends. May this be the first of many cherished moments together, as we continue to nurture these invaluable connections within our community.
