MINISTRIES
The Household of Christ Community (HCC) is an ecumenical Christian Charismatic Community composed of a number of families, couples, and individuals based in Cebu under the guidance of the Sword of the Spirit Community as an affiliate. Our primary goal is to bring Christ to families and households through our various ministries and activities.
HCC regularly meets at its Center at Room 320 Krizia Building, Gonzales Compound, Gorordo Ave., Cebu City. HCC recently had the blessing of its Youth Center at the adjacent Room 319 to cater to the needs of its youth ministries, namely the Friends of Jesus (for children ages 5-9), Junior Young Adults (for children ages 10-12) and Young Adults (for children ages 13-18), as well as its outreaches, Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon (for Single Professionals) and Christ’s Youth in Action (for University students).
HCC regularly conducts seminars and talks to deepen the understanding of the Christian faith along with the Charismatic expression of it through its Built-to-Last Series and Life in Christ Series, as well as to further enrich marriages through its Beyond-I-Do Series. HCC also regularly holds its outreach programs through its Compassion Ministry, visiting and supporting institutions.
Family Life
We believe family is the basic unit of a Christian community. Family Life, Singles formation through Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon, and Children's Formation through the Friends of Jesus, Kairos, Christ Youth in Action are essential actions in building a community.
Compassion Ministry
Philippians 2:4 "Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others."
Fulfilling our civic duty and taking actions that benefit the society are goals of this ministry.
Administration
These are the leaders of the ministries headed by our Community Servant. Services include Finance, Secretariat, Alpha & Omega, Intercessory Prayer Lead, Creatives, Technical Support, and Food.
Teaching Ministry
Preaching the good news and training for the way of life.
We abide in the community way of life of the Sword of the Spirit. The Training Ministry teaches us what it means to live with Christ as the center of our community life. Christian Maturity course, Community & Family course, Christian Parenting course are among many of the teachings that are core to how we relate with each other.
Evangelization
Because the life with Jesus is overwhelmingly joyful, we want to share this joy to others. Arise, Beyond I Do, Build to Last, and Christian Growth Series are among many of the inspiring activities driven by this ministry.
We take to heart Jesus's words in Matthew, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations."
Celebration
We celebrate because God loves us first.
We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, and Christmas. This ministry heads the fun.
